Here is some information on the various ghost cams that Angel has set up to view:
Eye on the Unexplained
Even if you don't live in or near a haunted house, these webcams provide your chance to see a ghost - or some other paranormal apparition - with your own eyes.
The USS Lexington Ghost Cam
"He's polite, knowledgeable, and kind. Smartly dressed in a summer white Navy uniform, he's good looking, too, with light hair, a clear complexion and piercing blue eyes." That's how the ghost of the USS Lexington is described at this webcam's site. The Lexington - itself nicknamed "The Blue Ghost" - is a decommissioned aircraft carrier that saw quite a bit of action in WWII. Now it is moored at Corpus Christi, Texas, where it is a tourist attraction. The ghost is most often seen in the ship's engine room, so that's where the webcam is set up. You can submit a sighting and see the last 10 images.
Llancaiach Fawr Manor Ghostcam
Located at Caerphilly, South East Wales in the UK, the circa 1645 Llancaiach Fawr Manor is now a terrific tourist attraction where visitors can hear about traditional customs and talk about the everyday life of ordinary people over 350 years ago. A house that old is bound to pick up a ghost or two over the years, and just in case there is one skulking about, the webcam's steady eye is there to capture it. If you see something, you can submit a report of your sighting.
Abandoned Hospital Webcam
GhostGadgets.com Parapsychological and Paranormal Research has set up several webcams in an spooky-looking abandoned hospital in the Oklahoma City area. The group has captured a number of anomalous photos, sounds and EVP in the building, and they're hoping that the webcams will record some definitive proof the the spirits in the old hospital. The webcams point down some dark, decaying hallways, and they refresh every 15 seconds.
Nottingshamshire Ghosts and Legends
Here is a live "spookcam" from Newstead Abbey. There are a number of possible ghosts to be seen on this camera, including Little Sir John, Sophie Hyatt - the White Lady, the Goblin Friar, the Rose Lady and the Black Friar. The site includes a Gallery of Ghosts where you can see past screen captures, most of which are just jokes. Actually, the more I looked at it, the more I wondered whether this was a real live cam or just an animated .gif. What do you think?
Ireland?s Eye GhostWatch
In 1912, Helena Blunden was a 16-year-old worker in an Irish linen mill who had aspirations to be an opera singer. Hurrying to get to a concert one evening, she tripped on a mop and fell over a stair railing to her death. Her spirit, they say, still haunts the mill. Her footsteps have been heard along corridors, on the stairs and in a utility room. The webcam broadcasts live from a print room on one floor of the mill. You can report a sighting if you have one. They also have an actual recording of Helena singing, which was made just three months before her death. You can hear her singing "Pie Jesu" here.
Willard Library GhostCam
The Willard Library in Evansville, Indiana, they say, is haunted by "the Gray Lady." The Victorian Gothic building, erected in 1885, has been home to this ghost for at least 60 years. The apparition was first seen in 1937 when the library's janitor caught a glimpse of the veiled spectre dressed completely in gray in the basement. Since then, several other staff members have seen the gray ghost, smelled the strong scent of her perfume, and on numerous occasions turned off faucets that the spirit had turned on and left running. Many believe the ghost is that of Louise Carpenter, the daughter of the library's founder. This site has three webcams, one in the research room, one in the children's room (pictured) and one in the basement. The site provides some screen captures that seem to have caught something unusual. There is also online video of a ghost tour of the library as well as of a ghost hunt they conducted in 2000.
The Queen Mary GhostCam
Once a luxury cruise ship, the Queen Mary now calls Long Beach, California her permanent home. The Queen Mary has long been thought to be haunted and has been the subject of a number of serious paranormal investigations. Today, ghost tours can walk you around the ship. Ghosts have been spotted in its engine room, first-class swimming pool, the Queen's Salon, some of the first-class suite and in the third-class children's playroom. The webcam focuses on the swimming pool, and the application even allows you to point the camera.
The Leprechaun Watch
Not in the mood to capture a ghost on your computer? How about a leprechaun? The Leprechaun Watch webcam is set up is a hidden location in a field somewhere in Ireland, straddling the border of a "fairy ring" and the Coogan's ancestral farm. They're hoping a leprechaun will go strolling by in front of the camera - and you could be watching when he does. "The fairy tree is the last link the Fair Folk have to the larger range they once enjoyed when they ruled the land - their anger at this loss is understandable," the website says. "We are monitoring the area in front of the oak because of leprechaun activity there in recent weeks and months."
