HI all! I'm new here, so I thought I'd share my Fort George Experiences
Okay, I don't remember the exact dates, but it goes back approx. 10 years or so.
I did my first GHOST TOUR at Fort George - I was with my ex-mother-in-law. We were standing with a group of people outside the Fort and the guide was telling us a story when all of a sudden I felt as if a large hand rubbed the back of my neck. It wasn't cold or anything, but startled me. I thought "great, my MIL is trying to scare me" I slowly turned around expecting to see her with a smirk on her face, except no one was there.
I had a great tour so I decided to go again on another night with some family and friends. This time I brought my video camera thinking I could record us on our tour. Low and Behold, this camera didn't record so well in the dark - actually, no picture at all. We did the part where you go into the tunnel - first in means last out which means DAAAAAAAARKKKKKK As the guide left with the lit lantern, my friend and I were at the back and I quickly realized if I turned the camera around the eye-piece was emitting light so it was like a dim flashlight. I was shining it around the room and when I had it light up the area on the first level of the stairs, I froze and then screamed and started running, I can only describe what I saw, which would equal a greyish human form, but HUGE looming down on us from that first landing, no facial features. My heart was beating up in my throat and of course because I screamed, my friend screamed and then other people started screaming. When I got outside the tunnel (being last) and peering back into the darkness and there was no one else there. The guide closed the door. I started laughing and thought at the very least, I'll have us screaming on the camera....... but when I looked down at the camera, it was dead, no power at all. I fiddled with the on and off switch, nothing. Weird!!!!!! I had charged that camera battery before going on the tour, it should not of run out. While we were climbing the hill I kept playing with it, DEAD DEAD DEAD, grrrrrrr........ when we got to the top, I tried one last time BLIP BLIP BLIP, the battery indicator came to life, FULL POWER. Upon playing the tape back, you hear me scream and it goes dead. LOL
Last trip, same friend and I decided to go again, and we were across the field from the barracks and myself, him, and two other people on the tour witnessed seeing something moving in one of the top windows of the barracks, except the barrack was locked up and nothing could of been in there. So we were told, but I don't think they would lie about that because they depend on this being real.
Anyone else out there have experiences?! I haven't been back in some time, but would love to go again.
