The Extension of Selves Into Physicality

The ego in isolation is fearful and is therefore involved in an aggressive assertion of individual rights over and above the rights of others. In this scenario the mirror of the soul is shattered and delivered back to us in pieces. Only when we connect with others do we journey together rather than alone and at odds with the journey itself.
In this film clip by The Verve the lead singer proclaims, "I'm million different people from one day to the next." Therefore what constitutes personhood is not the physical body but consciousness itself. This may manifest or exist as a single ego state, a multidimensional ego that consists of many states, or a system of conscious selves who co-exist, sharing the body as well as each other's thoughts and memories while maintaining their own sense of autonomy such as occurs in a multiple personality.
There is no rule that says we have to be one self per physical body. In fact we can be a million different (selves) from one day to the next, depending upon our awareness, expansion and willingness to embace all consciousness at all times. We are both the platform for the developing consciousness and the selves who occupy the platform. The body itself may be a conscious being as it too becomes a physical extension of consciousness. Every physical manifestation is an expression of consciousness.
The multiple psyche may have many selves, many egos arriving, departing, shining, fading, interacting, developing and learning in many different states of awareness. There is a tremendous interchange of energy to the way that such a system operates, perhaps comparable to a busy railway platform. This energy may need to be continually released in the form of RSPK (Recurrent Spontaneous Psychokinesis).
While I have not stepped outside the body and looked back at it, I have existed within the body (as a ghost) while someone else was living and speaking. Some of the paranormal phenomenon that "I" experience appears to be one consciousness communicating with one another. This is a multiple consciousness that expresses itself inside and outside the body until there is no such thing as inside or outside.
This does not have to do with repressed mind states but of many seperate and individual mind states existing within one physical form, or multiple streams of consciousness or multiple ego states that may or may not be aware of each other, at least until full co-consciousness is achieved. Each self gives the other self 'the breath of life' as we think and breathe each other into an existence beyond a thought.

The physical world consists of spiritual interaction and may be brought into being by consciousness. In this film clip by Dido called Here With Me the mirror consciousness or doppleganger of a woman has manifested. She attempts to establish and develop relationships in the physical world, while still teetering on the edge of the universal collective. The idea of a single ego state per physical body is again questioned.
Some of the psychokinesis that this psyche experiences may be the unconscious emotional states of various selves manifesting outside the physical body. Other times it may be due to independant states of consciousness asserting themselves and making their presences known through the backdoor of the psyche into reality.
However, there is always the 'unknown factor' that appears to exist as a universal consciousness or as a greater guiding force. Furthermore these ghostly interactions may attract, extend, collide and collapse into other realities beyond the physical.
Consciousness of a multiple system is not restricted by age, race, sex, species, or physicality. So the primary question for all developing systems of consciousness is, to what extent do (we) become each other and will (we) choose to work within the best interests of an evolving universe of conscious awareness and interaction?
In this way the psychic landscape may be merely reflective of universe landscape, as a developing and relating of myriad consciousness that form points of reference and interaction. Only the single ego state, feeling diminished rather than expansive, afraid of change (death), unable to gain control through fear based aggression and predation, and seperate from all that is, creates universal disharmony. This can occur both within the isolated psyche and within the greater psyche of the cosmos.
As a multiple one does not necessarily feel that "the others" are parts of oneself. Instead one feels that they are part of a complex system of conscious interaction.
The film clip by The Flowers called Icehouse is representative of the developing multiple psyche that a small girl inhabits who has experienced some kind of trauma. Here the psyche becomes a platform or a psychic landscape for the interaction of multiple consciousness where one or many may assert themselves into existence.

The dreamer may be both 'the creator' and a part of a physical reality independant from her conscious waking life and her physical state. She is living, haunted, nurtured, shadowed and rescued by a myriad of selves or conscious states. While each self gradually develops in order to form a system of interacting consciousness, in this case it is 'the girl' and 'the singer' who are aligned with the physical body.
Incidentally, this film clip was released in Australia but was subsequently banned (censored) from being aired on television. I would suggest that this was because it was touching on a truth (the artist's truth) about the affects of ritualised childhood abuse on the developing psyche. But having said that, not all multiplicity is caused by trauma. Many multiples claim to be natural born multiples - many souled beings.
A Universe of Multiplicity
The multiple psyche may be representative of the greater psyche. The universe is many-souled, interacting, creating and evolving and existing in various states of awareness and unawareness. We are all evolving beings of infinite consciousness, systems within systems within systems. A single ego state is merely one of many reference points, small pools and eddies feeding into greater rivers of knowledge.
Multiplicity of consciousness only becomes MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder) when we are not co-consciousness, that being while we still lack a fundamental awareness and understanding that we are all beings within the one developing being. Until co-consciousness with all life forms is achieved, the human being will exist in fear. The isolated ego state that defines itself only through its physicality may be suffering from (Singular Personality Disorder) in an ever expanding sea of limitless selves.
The question is always to what extent are we or do we interact with disembodied consciousness? Do we create the phenomenon through out own consciousness? Do the ghosts and aliens whom we interact with also live within us? Or are they existing as seperate from our own experiences and memories? Do we live within them? Are we all the one being? How do we define who we are at any given point in time or space?
Consciousness involves an infinite journey, centred and moving in all directions simultaneously. It is both material and non-material, self-referential and self-sacrificial. It is expansive and unlimited by physicality. Instead it seeks expression in the physical world. In this way it attempts to create mirrors of self definition and reflective surfaces from which to learn and grow out from. Conscious creation involves purposeful interaction and development. It is a Bitter Sweet Symphony by which we journey together. In this way do we experience and create each other.
