I am a new member to this site. I live in Niagara Falls. When I lived in Hamilton, my psychic neighbour introduced me to the pendulum. He never did tell me why. I discovered I had a natural ability to use it... I can use anything as a pendulum, including just my arm. I use any weighted object on a string (a paper cllip on a cut elastic band will do). I actually have several I use on a regular basis, but can make on on the spot if I need one. I also use a bobber rod (a long flexible stick that is weighted on one end). I also use 2 L-shaped wires. A bobber is better in the dark, for you can hold it up and see it move against the moon or a distant light.
First I discovered that I could get answers to questions with the pendulum (yes or no). In the process of asking questions, I discovered my spirit guide. I can't remember exactly how that happened. I discovered that I could talk to my spirit guide with the pendulum ( I ask yes or no questions verbally or in my mind and I get an answer with the pendulum). Sometimes he is around to answer questions and sometimes he is not and the pendulum will not move.
Later, I met some people who investigated hauntings for fun, and discovered I could use the pendulum to talk to ghosts.
When I go to a haunted site, I ask my spirit guide if there are any ghosts and where they are. When I go to the spot where they are, I ask my guide to ask them if they would be willing to talk to me with my pendulum or bobber. Sometimes he will not ask them, for he will not let me talk to them. Sometimes the ghost says yes and sometimes no. Most times they say yes. (by the way, there are times my spirit guide will not even enter a haunted place, like when I visited Fort George, he would not go through the gate, but was there when I came back out).
When a ghost takes control of my pendulum or bobber, I ask yes or no questions and find out who they are, when they died, and why they are still here... etc. Sometimes they speak to me telepathically (like telling me their name), before, I discover what their name is with the pendulum. Friends of mine have taken pictures of ectomist at the end of my bobber when I am talking with a ghost.
I have been on investigations with other friends (one sees ghosts and the other can feel their emotions) where as a group we talked with a ghost. I get frustrated, for while I can talk to them, I don't see them or feel them. I have actually smelled the presence of ghosts before (a person size area of space that is the only area in the room that contains a scent, and I walk right through it and detect it even when I have a head cold and cannot smell anything else). If I place a L-rod in that space, it spins 360 degrees.
I have taken my tape recorder on several investigations and caught the ghost talking to me on tape. I was really surprised when I did it the first time, I was talkinig with a ghost with my pendulum, not "really" knowing if a ghost was there and maybe it was me moving the pendulum, only to come home and find I caught him saying "yes" and "no" several times on my tape. That night it was a solder at Ft George. The night I went out with my friends, we caught the voice of a little girl on tape... my friend could see her as she talked to me with the bobber.
I would be interested in going out on ghost investigations with people in the Niagara area. I don't have a lot of time now for I work both a day and part-time evening job, but am still interested in meeting people to go on investigations with.
