I have posted about some of the experiences in my office under the EVP message board. Now for an update:
Well last night I was at work and we were having a tween dance for grades 5 to 8. At the beginning of the night I once again placed a tape recorder in my office with fresh batteries and then went down the other end of the building to prepare for the dance.
I let the tape run for 1 1/2 hours like last time. However this time when I went to get my tape recorder, it was completely drained of power, so I was unable to see how much time actually recorded on it until I could get home. I found out later that it recorded for 40 minutes before dying.
Anyways I was in the gym area chaperoning the dance. It was about 9:00pm at this point when a young boy whom I know from other activities at our centre approached me and asked me if people were allowed to go into the closet. I told him that they weren't allowed in the closet and he told me that he saw someone go in there.
The closet he was referring to was directly across from me on the opposite side of the stage where the dj was playing. It's located on the right hand side of the stage and in full view.
As I glanced over I saw a boy who appeared to be about 12 or 13 wearing a long sleeved black shirt, black pants with short dark hair enter the closet and close the door.
I crossed the gym floor and headed towards the closet door. As I was walking towards it, a teen came over to me and said to me that she saw a boy entering the closet and I told her that I had too. Then another one came over seconds later from another area in the gym and said the same thing.
We all walked over to the closet and i opened the door. It was dark inside but I couldnt see anyone in there. One of the teens said outloud, "Ok we know you are in there come out or we are calling your parents." lol
There was no answer.
So I turned the light on and we searched the whole closet (storage closet) and no one was in there!
Then a bit later on, I kept watching that closet door, the door kept opening up part way and someone else told me that they saw it opening as well. At one point I saw about 6 shadows form in the same area and appeared to be dancing around only to disappear into the wall!
After the dance was over, I talked to the teens a bit before they left and I found out that 5 of us who were in different areas of the gym that night all saw a boy go into the closet. One of the teens was pretty close to the person and she said to me that he didnt look at all familar. He walked past her and into the closet.
It would appear that my work is very active when there are a lot of kids there. Perhaps they are curious and came to get a closer look.
As for the tape recording, as I mentioned above I managed to get 40 minutes in before the batteries died. Near the end of the tape there is an evp. However, it is very mechanical sounding and even after trying to clean it up etc, I can't make out what it's saying.
On a final note, as we were closing up the building for the night and myself and my co-worker along with two teens were shutting off the lights in our section of the building, as I turned them off and went to leave, the lights came back on briefly by themselves and then shut off again. Maybe they were saying goodbye lol
Next week when I am in there again on friday night, i will try to tape again and see if I have any luck with getting any evp's. I'll keep everyone posted.
P.S. I have posted the other evp on the evp message board. Perhaps someone can make out what its saying. To me it sort of sounds like Iya need you or Iya see you. Not quite sure.
